Adjustable optical slit 10AOS10-1 designed for precise adjustment of two blades centered equally about center hole-through. Center hole consists of M27x1 threaded hole from one side and Ø26 mm hole on another side. To reduce unwanted reflections blades are made black. Ratio between micrometer and slit width adjustment system is 1:2 (5 mm travel range of the micrometer equals to 10 mm travel range of the blades). In fully closed position the blades are touching each other, in such position, because of imperfection in the blades and assembly, gaps between blades as large as 20 µm in width are possible. Maximum slit width is 10 mm. The device is made with M6x7 deep mounting holes on top and bottom. Mounting holes are centered along optical axis. Mounting posts 3MP suit greatly for mounting the slit on. Also, on one side of the body available another two M4x5 deep mounting holes.
Mounted Adjustable Optical Slit in open and closed positions. | Optical slits have metric mounting holes but mounting on imperial posts is also easy. Just use a metric-to-imperial thread adapters (click here to chose appropriate). |
